Combining a love for music with performing, Texas harpist Louise Trotter is a versatile entertainer. She plays a varied repertoire, from Classical to Broadway, swing, Latin, rag, jazz, or folk, and is one of the few harpists who specializes in Country & Western.In addition to solo performances, she may play with a duo or ensemble with any combination of flute, violin, string bass, guitar or drum. She uses an acoustic concert sized harp, or a state of the art electric amplified harp for large groups. She also owns 3 smaller lever (folk) harps to use when the occasion demands. She has played Houston's finest hotels, restaurants, country clubs,
and weddings since 1975.

For our Members, Louise has contributed "A Time For Us," by Nino Rota. This song was part of the score he wrote for the 1968 Zefferelli film, "Romeo and Juliet," and was one of the most popular love songs of it's time. Louis's arrangement for harp was originally published by Paradise Music. It is now part of her collection of "Popular Love Songs for Lever Harp," published by Afghan Press and available through Melody's Traditional Music and Harp Shoppe.
